I am taking it back today. Like way back. Back to 1956.

This is my #4 song of all time. Honest, I have proof. One of the best written heartbreak songs of all time, from one of the most underrated songwriters of all time (original writer of "Fever"). Little Willie John was a master at stringing words in such a way that he transformed wallowing into beauty. Sadly, he was not around long enough to be truly celebrated. After stabbing a man in a barfight in Seattle, he was charged with manslaughter and sent to prison in Walla Walla, where he later died from a rumored heart attack at the age of 30.
