I love hunting for "soul-quaking" music. I love searching to that one "life-changing" song with will solve all your problems in 4 part harmony. I think it is the journey to find the tunes that really stirs me, and stokes this passion. Don't get me wrong, the music matters, but it's the trek towards the noise that I always remember. You always hear people say, "I remember exactly where I was when..." And that is exactly how I am with the noises that move me and have inspired this obsession. Rarely do songs like this come directly to me. Rarely.
Recently The Native Sibling reached out to us on our Facebook Page, and stole my breath. I realize that sounds very romanticized, and it very well may be, but I'm the one writing this, so I get to be romantic if I want.
This Santa Cruz brother & sister duo make noises to die for. As she sings lead, he supports her effortlessly. Their harmonies are so beautifully delicate that its clear they've known each others voices forever, I guess, as family should.
Right now, they only have one song to consume, which is unfortunate. But, as soon as there is more, I will be sure to post it here.
There are very few bands that can get me as excited as this with one song. If you want to download this song, it is available for free on their Bandcamp page.
